SERVICE DISRUPTION IN THE JOOPAS SYSTEM 1–31 DECEMBER 2009

HSE, TaiK and TKK

Aalto University is a new university to be formed by the Helsinki School of Economics (HSE), the University of Art and Design Helsinki (TaiK) and Helsinki University of Technology (TKK) on 1 January 2010.

Due to the consequent changes in their information systems, the Aalto university schools will not be accepting JOO (flexible right to study) applications in December 2009.

If you are applying for a flexible right to study at TKK, HSE or TaiK (Aalto University) for the spring 2010, please note that we must receive your application no later than on 30 November 2009 to have time to process it and register your right to study.

As of the beginning of 2010, Helsinki University of Technology, the Helsinki School of Economics and the University of Art and Design Helsinki will be replaced by Aalto University in the JOOPAS system, and all applications for a flexible right to study at any of the above will be handled in the name of Aalto University.

  • University of Science and Technology Faculty of Chemistry and Materials Sciences
  • Language Centre (The inclusion of LC as a separate entity in the system is yet to be confirmed.)

Departments or units will no longer be visible in the new Aalto information system. Aalto University will adopt a joint Oodi system on 1 March 2010, which may cause delays in the registration of rights into the system, but not in the processing of JOO applications.
